In Loving Memory

David A. Alfredson or “Duck” retired as a detective after 30 years on  the Rockford Police Dept. He served 12 years with the Winnebago Co.  Sheriff’s Dept. as a Field Monitor and as Court House Security. David  was a member of PBPA and served many years as Chairman of the Board of  Directors of Rockford Municipal Employees Credit Union. He was also  involved in many church activities over the years.

David loved the outdoors. He enjoyed the time spent on the water  fishing and loved to go camping. For many years Dave enjoyed the many  varieties of birds that visited his feeders, as well as the furry  critters. He was the #1 spotter of coyote and deer in his backyard. In  more recent years he took up wood turning and could be found thoroughly  enjoying himself in his workshop. David turned a large number of the  pens that were donated and shipped to troops in Iraq. His favorite way  to relax the last few years was resting in his recliner with his wife  Jean next to him, his fur baby curled up on his lap, watching the  outdoors for whatever wildlife might happen to wander by.
